Brain Cancer Support Groups & Classes

JamesCare for Life is a Comprehensive Oncology Rehabilitation Program in which healthcare professionals at The James provide information, education, support and guidance in living well with cancer.

At The James, our caring, trained professionals help patients recover and adjust to new ways of living. Dealing with a cancer diagnosis and the special circumstances surrounding cancer can be scary for patients, and living with cancer involves more than the physical aspects of dealing with the disease.

Numerous support groups, services and classes are offered by the JamesCare for Life Program. Here are some resources for the patient, family, friends and co-workers:

3rd Annual Brain Tumor Awareness & Survivor Celebration

October 10, 2010
10:30 a.m. - 3 p.m.

The Fawcett Center
2400 Olentangy River Road

This year's event is open to all cancer survivors and their families and features a keynote address from Victoria Reggie Kennedy, the late Senator Edward Kennedy's wife. Similar to most spouses, she was Senator Kennedy's primary caregiver after his 2008 brain cancer diagnosis, providing her unique insight into caring for a loved one with a brian tumor. Mrs. Kennedy will sign copies of True Compass: A Memoir following her talk.
