Soft tissue sarcomas are cancerous tumors that form in the soft tissues that surround, connect or support the structures and organs of the body. Examples include muscles, tendons, fat, blood vessels, nerves and synovial (joint) tissues. Soft tissue sarcoma is a rare type of cancer, but there are more than 50 kinds.
