Working as a gastrointestinal surgeon allows me to help patients in many ways. My entire career is focused on surgically managing diseases of the pancreas and bile duct. I helped establish the multidisciplinary gastrointestinal cancer clinic at the James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute. I also treat conditions such as pancreatic cancer, pancreatitis and bile duct cancer.
I believe that a disease-centered focus helps our team achieve the best outcome for patients. I enjoy getting to know our patients and their families and being personally involved in their treatment.
It's a privilege to work as part of the gastrointestinal cancer team at The Ohio State University. I feel a sense of accomplishment when we meet challenges and overcome obstacles together, and I love being part of a team that is working to create a cancer-free world.
Outside of work, I like listening to music, playing drums, spending time with my children and exercising.
