The overall prognosis remains poor despite advances in diagnostic tests, surgical technique, multimodality treatment, and postoperative care. Dr. Muscarella participates in ongoing research focusing on pancreatic cancer genetics, novel therapies, surgical therapy, and the biological behavior of this disease.
