Dr. Zou's research goals include the development of therapeutic strategies to target the cell cycle machinery especially for aggressive and metastasis cancer, and dissect their molecular mechanism by applying various technique in molecular, cellular & developmental biology and animal models. Another research interest in his lab is to investigate role of G1 cell cycle factors in proliferation and differentiation of stem cells, including embryonic stem cells and cancer stem-like cells
