General Research Interest

JNK signaling, polarity in glioma invasion, Alzheimer's disease

Research Description

The long-term goal of the lab is to understand how the balance between cell survival and death is maintained in the adult nervous system.  Currently, we are focusing on the role of stress kinase, JNK signaling, under pathological conditions.

Transinstitutional Work

In collaboration with Drs. M. Viapiano and C.H. Kwon, we are investigating the role of small GTPase and polarity proteins in glioma invasion.
