  • Cancer Control

General Research Interest

Stress, resilience, the endocrine-immune interface and the chronic diseases of aging including cancer

Research Description

Non pharmacologic interventions to modify inflammatory risk factors for cardiovascular disease and cancer in employees of The Ohio State University

Transinstitutional Work

Have developed a community partnership with a large urban congregation in Columbus to sudy the relationship betwen a variety of stress and resilience variables in the development of health symptoms not associated with  disease. Interventions are being developed to help individuals manage these symptoms without continuing dependence on the health care system
