Dr. Colleen Spees is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Medical Dietetics and Health Sciences in the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences College of Medicine with a focus on nutrition and cancer. Her laboratory research focuses on evaluating biomarkers of nutritional and dietary interventions in experimental and human carcinogenesis. She is actively engaged in community research and targets interventions aimed at providing optimal nutrition for cancer prevention and health in disparate populations. In this capacity, Dr. Spees has initiated multiple projects in collaboration with the Mid-Ohio Foodbank and Columbus Neighborhood Health Centers. In 2011, she established OSU's first Nutritional Genomics graduate course.
