General Research Interest
The role of nutrigenomics in the prevention of the metabolic syndromeResearch Description
My laboratory is studying how nutrients regulate genes and can prevent metabolic diseases, such as obesity and type 2 diabetes. We are creating anti-obesity therapies based on cell engineering and nanotechnology that could have an impact on global obesity epidemics. Transinstitutional Work
Our research collaborations include work with researchers from OSU Medical Center: Dr Sen and Dr Rajagopalan on biomedical imaging as well as with Dr. Lee from Chemical Engineering on nanotechnology.Current Publications
