This note sent to Robert Wesolowski, MD, in the Division of Medical Oncology, from Tom and Cindy Fisher, shares the passion of a patient’s family and their motivation to giving back:

Dear Dr. Wesolowski... aka “Bobby W’s (Dubs)”
Kristen passed peacefully Monday night (12/3). I, her Dad, had gone in to tell her goodnight and I knelt and whispered her favorite prayer, “Now I lay me down to sleep...” and seconds after I said the, “Amen,” she gasped her last breath.
She loved and respected you both as her doctor and as a friend.
One of her wishes was to donate $500 to the Stefanie Spielman Comprehensive Breast Center, specifically for the “snack fund.” She was always touched by the generosity of the Center for the patients and caregivers who would accompany them for treatments and appointments.
