Stefanie’s Team of Hope greased up their bikes and put on their helmets for another exciting ride in Pelotonia 13. As the lead grassroots fundraising peloton, Stefanie’s Team of Hope, led by Shannon Peterson, had big goals for 2013. Since Pelotonia began, the team has raised more than $1 million for research at the OSUCCC – James!
Stefanie’s Team of Hope had 203 total team members for Pelotonia 13 and hope to have raised $400,000 this year. “ We are going to beat cancer by growing our team. More riders will equal more money, which will fund more research so we can end cancer,” says Shannon.
Shannon shared her mission for Stefanie’s Team of Hope. “Our peloton was created to honor Stefanie and to carry on her legacy of hope. To raise awareness for the Spielman Fund, and to do our part to raise as much money as we can to find a cure for all cancers.” With the help of Shannon and other riders like you, Stefanie’s Team of Hope will continue to grow and her mission to find a cure will be made possible.
