To celebrate 25 years of the Spielman Fund, the Spielman family will contribute $25,000 to match gifts made to the fund during our breast cancer fundraising campaign.
“This matching gift is a celebration of the accomplishments of the first 25 years of the fund,” says Chris Spielman. “It’s a way for us to say ‘thank you’ to all the physicians, nurses, researchers and donors who helped us reach this milestone and to pay it forward for the next 25 years.”
Together, we can raise more than $50,000 to fuel groundbreaking scientific exploration into the causes, treatment and prevention of breast cancer.
Stefanie was determined to focus on the positive and do what she could with the opportunities she was given, even if one of those “opportunities” was breast cancer.
She once said, “I’ve never asked, ‘Why me?’ I hope I never do. I’m determined to find the good in something bad … Good has been shown to me through our breast cancer research fund, knowing we are helping find a cure. The good is in everyday blessings I see and don’t take for granted.”
