Investing in the Next Generation
Since it began in 2010, the Pelotonia Fellowship Program has awarded more than $13 million for 436 peer-reviewed cancer research projects by students working in the labs of faculty mentors. The students are in multiple disciplines and all levels of scholarship: undergraduate, graduate, postdoctoral and medical. To date, fellowships have been awarded to 205 undergraduates, 128 graduates, 97 postdoctoral fellows and six medical students. Their mentors represent multiple departments in several colleges at Ohio State, Nationwide Children’s Hospital and Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center (see charts).
