Pelotonia is back and better than ever in 2021, and the Greatest Team Ever is gearing up to ride — and walk, run and more — to support cancer research at Ohio State.

After going virtual in 2020, Pelotonia's beloved weekend bike ride returns in August, with added safety measures in place to protect cyclists as they add to the more than $217 million raised through the event for the OSUCCC – James since 2008.

While the bike ride is making its welcome return — with new routes added for 2021 — event organizers kept a popular component from last year in place, with the "Challenger" option allowing participants to raise funds through activities of their choosing, including running and walking, along with non-exercise activities, like cooking, singing and volunteering.

"We are so excited to be gathering the community back together to ride for our collective one goal," Pelotonia CEO Doug Ulman says. "One-hundred percent of every dollar raised goes directly to groundbreaking, life-saving cancer research at The James. We're humbled at the support we've enjoyed for so many years."
