Ohio State researchers are working to reduce breast cancer diagnoses by studying lifestyle choices that could promote prevention. As part of his focus on prevention, the OSUCCC – James’ Sagar Sardesai, MBBS, is involved in studies into possible benefits of nutrition and exercise, including a dietary preparation method that could help more women avoid breast cancer. “We are working on a clinical trial that’s looking at an antioxidant that’s often found in celery in an attempt to reduce the risk of breast cancer and also weight gain,” Sardesai says.
