Move MMORE 5K & 1 Mile Run/Walk: Saturday, June 4 The 9th annual MoveMMORE 5K & 1 Mile Run/Walk hosted by Multiple Myeloma Opportunities for Research & Education (MMORE) benefits multiple myeloma research at the OSUCCC – James. Multiple myeloma is a blood cancer in the bone marrow with approximately 60,000 patients in the United States. Annually, there are 25,000 new patients diagnosed. There is no cure, and about 12,000 people die every year. The Jack Roth Rock ‘N’ Run: Sunday, June 5 The Jack Roth Rock ‘N’ Run/Walk benefits lung cancer research at the OSUCCC – James. Enjoy the historic brick streets of beautiful Bexley during the 11th annual race, which begins and ends at Bexley High School. Be sure to peruse the many offerings at the vendor marketplace before or after your run. 15th Annual Angel Open: Friday, June 10 The day includes golf, prizes, giveaways, and special hole contests. To date, the Angel Open has raised over $310,000 for the Stefanie Spielman Fund for Breast Cancer Research at the OSUCCC-James. This year, the Angel Open will take place at Oakhaven Golf Club. 97.1 The Fan Golf Classic: Monday, June 13 Join us for the 97.1 The Fan Golf Classic, presented by Toy Barn and Delta Dental of Ohio at Scioto Reserve Country Club! This year’s event will be hosted by Bobby Carpenter and Anthony Schlegel and benefits the Urban and Shelley Meyer Fund for Cancer Research at the OSUCCC – James. You can join us for one of two shotgun starts at 7:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., and each round is scheduled for a full slate of fun as we raise funds for a great cause. Help us “Tackle All Cancers” and sign up your foursome today! 16th Annual George R. Tuckett Memorial Golf Scramble: Saturday, June 18 The 16th annual memorial golf outing will take place at the Westchester Golf Course. Proceeds from team registration, sponsorship, auction items, raffle and more benefit the Cancer Strategic Support Fund at the OSUCCC – James. JR Memorial Cruise for a Cure: Saturday, June 25 The event will last from 12:30 p.m. until 11 p.m., with live entertainment, and a silent auction at Mimi’s at the Lake, located at 156 E. Main St., Russells Point, Ohio, 43348. Food and drink are also available for purchase, so plan to join us and hang out with many Ohio State Buckeye greats who are excited to join us for this great event. Auction Items Include: Ohio State Football season tickets, AJ Hawk signed framed jersey, Lake Erie Fishing Charter, Cleveland Indians Box Seats, Ohio State vs. Tulsa football tickets, Ohio State football helmet and football signed by Urban Myer. Raffle drawing for the 2016 SEA-DOO Spark and 50/50 will follow the live auction. Fred Bell Pancreatic Cancer Foundation Golf Outing: Saturday, June 25 The 3rd annual golf outing, happening in Stubenville, Ohio, is held in memory of Fred Bell, who lost his fight in the battle against pancreatic cancer. The golf outing includes an evening reception with steak dinner for golfers and non-golfers available along with raffle items, and silent and live auction. Proceeds benefit the Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund at the OSUCCC – James.
