Research experts at The James are using what’s called cell therapy to find new ways to treat cancer. Cell therapy is using a persons living cells to treat a disease of some kind. The experts at The James process patients stem cells to get them ready to be used in the bone marrow transplant process, as well as test them and sometimes cryopreserve them to be used at a later date. Watch this week's Toward a Cancer-Free World (above) with the director of the Cell Therapy Laboratory Lynn O’Donnell, PhD, to learn about how cell therapy is used for the treatment of multiple cancer types. If you or someone you know has received a cancer diagnosis, or would like a second opinion or just want to speak to a cancer specialist, we are here to help you.
