Every day of the week, hundreds of volunteers work tirelessly behind the scenes at The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center – James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute to bring help, hope and comfort to cancer patients.  This week, we meet Gene and Carol Parkison, who drive more than 140 miles roundtrip — at least twice a week — to volunteer at the OSUCCC – James. Gene and Carol, herself a cancer survivor and former James patient, were so grateful for the volunteers who helped them when she was a patient, decided they would do the same for others. They’ve been volunteering for more than eight years now. Learn more about how you can become a volunteer at the OSUCCC – James.
