Digital Pathology is the ability to practice pathology at a distance. It includes primary diagnosis, diagnostic consultation, intraoperative diagnosis, manual and semi-quantitative review of immunohistochemistry (IHC), clinical research and diagnostic decision support.
Telepathology makes it faster and easier to share medical images. Biopsies can be cut, stained, scanned, magnified and sent digitally during an operation. A pathologist can read the slides remotely in real-time and provide the surgeon with an immediate diagnosis.
Please fill out the form below and the OSUCCC – James digital pathology team will be in contact about services available to your organization.
