As part of the Heather Pick Memorial Concert Series, Lane Champa, violin, will perform music live in The James lobby.

Lane Champa is a violinist and violist from Delaware, Ohio. He is an active performer in the New Albany Symphony Orchestra, Opera Project Columbus Chamber Orchestra, McConnell Arts Center Chamber Orchestra and Westerville Symphony Orchestra. Champa is the onsite manager of the Chamber Music Connection in Worthington, Ohio and is on the violin faculty of the Jefferson Academy of Music. He is a graduate of Otterbein University, where he studied Music, Business Administration and Arts Administration. He was a featured performer and panelist at the Otterbein University Humor in Music Festival, a violinist in the Red Noise New Music Ensemble, and is the current concertmaster of the university's Musical Theater Pit Orchestra. He studied violin with Sheryl Trick and David Edge and chamber music with the Cavani, Emerson, JACK, Hausmann, Calidore, Ying, Doric and Brentano string quartets, as well as with Peter Salaff and Hayley Wolfe. Champa has been a part of many contemporary music collaborations, including premieres of works by James Rubino, Charlie Wilmoth, Kyle Price and Brian Riordan. He also manages a private string studio teaching violin, viola, cello, improvisation and composition.
