In this lively, hands-on workshop, participants will be introduced to ways that elements in common music experiences (like context, rhythm, tempo, & meaning of lyrics) can be broken down, rearranged, and reshaped in order to build targeted strategies for dealing with pain.  Class activities will include meet & greet, group-based music therapy demonstrations, review of relevant resources & apps, and sharing of take-home materials. No music experience is required. Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing.

Facilitated by a board certified music therapist from The James.

Offered free of charge to adult cancer survivors and caregivers.
