I'm an oncologist treating patients with blood cancers. My clinical expertise includes hematology, AIDS-related lymphomas and Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. I serve as Professor of Medicine in the Division of Hematology, Director of the Physician Scientist Training Program and Associate Residency Program Director for Research. I was named to the Castle Connolly list of “Regional Top Doctors” from 2016-2018.

Research is a big part of my career. It's a privilege to lead research programs at the OSUCCC – James, as it is one of only four centers funded by the NCI to conduct both phase I and phase II clinical trials. My laboratory focuses on experimental therapeutics for lymphoma, immunotherapy for EBV lymphoma and biology of B cell transformation. It is my hope that our findings can one day lead to a cure.

My work has been patented as well as published in medical journals, including Cellular Immunology, Blood Journal and American Journal of Hematology. I've also been honored with several awards, including the 2012 Early Career Innovator of the Year Nomination from The Ohio State University and 2011 Inventor of the Year Nomination from Tech Columbus.

Patient-centered care is top priority at The James. I'm involved with several national and international associations to ensure I stay at the forefront of knowledge in my field and can offer the best care possible. I'm a member of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, American Society of Clinical Oncology and the AIDS Malignancy Consortium.
