About Me
More info forI am a urologic oncologist who specializes in treating prostate and bladder cancer in my role at the OSUCCC – James. I have had extensive training in robotic surgery and other minimally invasive surgical techniques, which I employ routinely in my practice as part of the multidisciplinary care for patients with urologic tumors. I firmly believe in delivering personalized care, as each of us has distinct needs, values and priorities. I work closely with my colleagues in medical oncology, radiation oncology and pathology, among others. Together, by studying the underlying biology of your disease and keeping abreast of the most cutting-edge treatments, we strive to provide you with the best treatment option for you. In addition to my clinical work, I am passionate about helping to advance the quality of the treatments we can offer patients through innovation. My research interest is focused primarily on developing novel therapies and diagnostic methods for prostate and urothelial cancer through biomarker-driven, investigator-initiated clinical trials. I am also passionate about surgical innovation to minimize the side effects of surgical treatments. I have been honored to receive multiple awards for my research, including the prestigious John D. Silbar, MD, Award by the American Urological Association (AUA); the Michael S. Benninger, MD, Award by the Henry Ford Hospital, Wayne State University School of Medicine; SUO-YOU Best Poster Award from the Society of Urologic Oncology (SUO); the Christopher G. Wood Best Poster from the University of Texas, among others. I have authored more than 175 research papers, editorials and book chapters, as well as more than 300 peer-reviewed abstracts featured at various national and international urology and oncology meetings. I am a member of the American Urological Association, the European Association of Urology, the International Bladder Cancer Network and the American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin, among others. I love working at OSUCCC – James alongside like-minded individuals, and I’m inspired by its mission to achieve a cancer-free world. I am honored to be a part of this vision.
