Overall Patient Satisfaction Rating

4.9 out of 5

I’m an otolarynologist with a special interest in treating cancers of the head and neck and in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery. I also serve as an assistant professor in Ohio State’s Department of Otolarynology. I’m proud to have been named to the Castle Connolly list of “Regional Top Doctors” from 2014-2019 and was rated in the top 10 percent of physicians in the nation for patient satisfaction in 2014, 2015 and 2016.

I love helping my patients and I’m passionate about conducting cancer research. Recently, I’ve been part of studies on cancer stem cells, new ways of predicting the reccurence of head and neck cancers, and better ways of identifying behaviors that can lead to post-surgical complications.

What I appreciate most about being part of the OSUCCC – James is that it’s both a model for patient care and a leading research facility. It’s inspiring to know we’re advancing our knowledge of how to fight cancer in so many ways and improving the lives of each and every one of our patients, all at the same time.

I’ve been published in four textbooks and in many journals, including the Journal of the American Medical Association, Annals of Diagnostic Pathology and others. In addition, I’ve been an invited lecturer or panelist at many conferences and workshops held by The Ohio State University and across the country.

Consulting and Related Relationships

At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the university requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their university responsibilities. As of 12/20/2018, Dr. Agrawal has reported no relationships with companies or entities.

Patient Satisfaction Review

The overall patient satisfaction rating is an average of all patient responses to the five questions gathered from the Outpatient Oncology survey, developed by Press Ganey Associates for use in oncology clinics across the country. On behalf of The James, Press Ganey administers the survey to patients who see our providers in an outpatient clinic office. For additional information about the patient satisfaction survey, please visit our Patient Satisfaction Survey page
