About Me
More info forI am a radiation oncologist who specializes in the treatment of patients with hematologic and thoracic cancers, serving as the Director of Hematologic Radiation Oncology and the departmental Director of Medical Student Education. I work as an integral part of a multi-disciplinary team, including surgeons, medical oncologists, and hematologists to provide the best, personalized care for each of our patients. I believe even the best doctors can only do so much good for their patients within the four walls of the clinic if the system itself is not optimized. Clinical and lab-based research is one such way to improve care. My research interests include advanced radiation techniques, such as MR-guided and adaptive radiation to improve efficacy and reduce toxicity, optimizing the integration of radiation with novel cell therapies, like CAR T-cell therapy, and leadership education. My other interests lie in the legislation and implementation of health policy as a means to globally improve care. I have authored and co-authored numerous articles in journals, such as the International Journal of Radiation Oncology, Biology, and Physics, Frontiers in Oncology, and the Journal of Cancer Education. I serve on the Editorial Advisory Board of Applied Radiation Oncology. I also serve as an ex-officio member of the Board of Directors and Inaugural Chair of the Early Career Committee of the American Society for Radiation Oncology, among other committees, as well as on committees within the American College of Radiation Oncology, NRG Oncology, SWOG, and the International Lymphoma Radiation Oncology Group. Because there is no routine cancer, each patient deserves an expert multi-disciplinary team to provide personalized care. I am honored to be a part of the world-class team at the OSUCCC - James.
