I’m a general medical oncologist, and I treat patients with many types of cancers at JamesCare at University Hospital East, part of our General Oncology Outreach group. The cancers I manage include lung, breast, gastrointestinal, genitourinary, lymphoma, leukemia and multiple myeloma. I was rated in the top 10 percent of physicians in the nation for patient satisfaction in 2016.
JamesCare East allows me to practice in a community setting and provides James cancer patients alternate sites to receive their care.
I knew I wanted to pursue a career in medicine, but was unsure which specialty would be my passion. When my grandfather was diagnosed with prostate cancer a few weeks before I started medical school-that’s when oncology choose me as a specialty field.
I completed my undergraduate education at University of Maryland, College Park. I’m now a Buckeye having completed my medical school, residency and fellowships at The Ohio State University. And now as Clinical Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine at the College of Medicine.

Consulting and Related Relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the university requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their university responsibilities. As of 3/28/2017, Dr. Grenade has reported no financial relationships with medical device, research and/or drug companies.
