More info forI am a hematologist who specializes in treating patients with Hodgkin’s and non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. I received my doctor of medicine from the Indiana University School of Medicine and completed my internal medicine residency and hematology and medical oncology fellowship at The Ohio State University. During my residency and fellowship training, I was awarded the John A. Prior Award for Clinical Excellence, the Clara D. Bloomfield Award for Excellence in Research and the Conquer Cancer Foundation ASCO Merit Award. My research is primarily focused on the development of novel treatment approaches through clinical investigation, with a particular emphasis on the application of immunotherapy in the treatment of lymphoid malignancies. I have presented my research at the annual meetings of national and international organizations, including the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the American Society of Hematology and the European Hematology Association. I am passionate about continuing to make progress in the treatment of Hodgkin’s and non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. As the principal investigator on clinical trials that incorporate immune-activating therapies, I feel fortunate to work alongside such a caring and dedicated multi-disciplinary team – including nurses, pharmacists and social workers – in order to provide my patients with truly exceptional care. There is no such thing as routine cancer, and the OSUCCC – James offers patients hope for today and into the future.
