  • About Me

As a plastic surgeon at the OSUCCC – James, I specialize in performing reconstructive procedures primarily for patients diagnosed with breast cancer, sarcoma and cancers of the gastrointestinal tract. I chose a career in plastic surgery because of the opportunity to help support cancer patients through one of the most trying times in their lives. It is my goal to partner with my patients to not only restore form and function but also minimize the emotional burden that they carry. Patients can expect an empathetic family atmosphere when they come to The James for treatment because almost everyone has been personally touched by cancer. That sense of humility and understanding, as well as a devotion to providing the highest quality care possible, separate The James from other cancer centers. My research is primarily focused on breast cancer. I have done several studies in breast reconstruction, particularly centered on outcomes and preoperative planning systems. My work has been published in multiple peer-reviewed journals and I serve as a reviewer for publications including Journal of Reconstructive Microsurgery and Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. In addition to my clinical work, I am an assistant professor of plastic surgery at The Ohio State University College of Medicine. It is a privilege to help train future physicians and I have been honored with the Leo M. Davidoff Award for Significant Contributions to Medical Student Education.

  • Consulting and Related Relationships

At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the university requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their university responsibilities. As of 09/30/2024, Dr. Nash has reported no relationships with companies or entities.
