More info forI am a general thoracic surgeon and an associate professor in the Division of Thoracic Surgery. I specialize in the treatment of thoracic malignancies including lung cancer, esophageal cancer and mediastinal tumors. My research interests include improving surgical outcomes in the treatment of lung cancer, robotic surgery and surgical simulation. I completed my general surgical training at Yale New Haven Hospital – Saint Raphael and cardiothoracic surgery fellowship at The Cleveland Clinic. Prior to my faculty appointment in 2016 I was the director of minimally invasive thoracic surgery at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. I am board certified by the American Board of Surgery (ABS) and the American Board of Thoracic Surgery (ABTS). I have authored several peer-reviewed articles and book chapters. In addition, I have given numerous regional and national presentations. I am intricately involved in the training and education of thoracic surgery trainees, residents and medical students at Ohio State. Besides thoracic surgery, I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling and working out.
