More info forI am a medical oncologist specializing in genitourinary cancers, melanomas and lung cancers. I received my medical training from the University of Ife in Nigeria, and I completed a fellowship in hematology, oncology and geriatrics at Boston University. I also serve as a member in the American Medical Association, the International Society for the Study of Lung Cancer and other medical societies. My research focuses primarily on smoking cessation in the context of preventing lung cancer. In addition, I focus on screening, health care efficiency, cancer and aging, and personalized medicine. I’ve participated in numerous clinical trials, including one that focused on creating a brief, novel smoking cessation intervention. My research has been published in a number of journals, including the African Journal of Health Sciences. At The James, we work to both treat patients’ diseases and prevent cancer through cutting-edge research and collaboration between skilled and diverse medical professionals. We provide individualized treatment plans to give our patients the best possible outcomes, because everyone’s individual cancer is different. I try to focus on how my patients are coping with their disease to ensure they have the support they need during this difficult time. The OSUCCC – James gives me the resources to pursue this goal of a cancer-free world.

Excellent medical care
Without a doubt this was the most informative time I've ever met with medical staff .I did not feel rushed at all and the nurse , PA and doctor were very , very thorough in all explanations . I was shown ct scans and given a visual explanation of exactly what was shown . The PA super impressed me with her knowledge and attention given in explanations. I found out things that my original surgeon never mentioned .The doctor took his time and answered all questions I had and then some . Everyone I had contact with was of the highest professionalism .
My doc and support staff are the best of medical eval, treatment I had, and were very well versed on current available tests and possible signs of recurrence. I'm completely satisfied.

Excellent experience
The doctor and Tiffany were amazing as were all the staff. We were there for three hours and barely had time to sit in one place. Dr Folefac and Tiffany completely covered everything. I am ecstatic that we asked for a referral to The James after an initial visit at Soin. Night and day difference!
