  • About Me

I am a board-certified nurse practitioner within the Division of Hematology at the OSUCCC – James. I specialize in treating serious blood conditions and cancers, including venous thromboembolisms (VTE), immune thrombocytopenia purpura (ITP) and thrombotic microangiopathies. My patients can rely on me for compassionate support through each stage of their health care journeys. I ensure patients thoroughly understand their diagnosis and I empower them to take an active role in their care. I believe in shared decision-making with the patient and an evidence-based approach with treatments tailored to each person’s individual needs and values. I started my career caring for inpatients in the Oncology unit with an emphasis on treating acute leukemia. I’ve always appreciated the collaborative work environment here at The James, and the commitment to innovative research allowing us to offer our patients the best care possible. I’m proud to be involved in research projects focused on reducing treatment toxicities, limiting disease progression and relapse and advancing treatments that lead to better outcomes and quality of life.

The medical professional who met with me before the doctor came in -- unfortunately I do not remember her name -- was exceptional in answering questions and putting me more at ease by explaining why certain questions were asked, etc.
