I’m a medical oncologist and an assistant professor in the Department of Internal Medicine. I was rated in the top 10 percent of physicians nationwide for patient satisfaction in 2014 and 2016, and patients value the time I spend with them.
I specialize in GU (or genitourinary) cancers, which include cancers of the prostate, bladder, kidneys and testicles. As a researcher, I’m very interested in experimental therapeutics and clinical trials. I’m particularly focused on evaluating both their effectiveness and their safety. I believe in combining state-of-the-art treatment with compassionate care, which is why the OSUCCC – James is the ideal place for what I do.
Being part of the team at OSUCCC – James is very inspirational to me professionally and personally. Working with such dedicated colleagues every day helps us all maintain high standards and set higher and higher goals for our work. I’m also inspired by the multidisciplinary approach that we take at Ohio State’s genitourinary medical oncology clinic because it’s so unique. I’m passionate about providing assistance to people in need and proud that I’ve spent my whole medical career serving the Columbus area.
In addition to my work at the OSUCCC – James, I serve on the Genitourinary Oncology core committee for ALLIANCE, a research group that works in cooperation with the National Cancer Institute. My own research has been published in many leading journals, including Cancer, Cancer Research, Journal of Clinical Oncology and Journal of Immunotherapy.
