I’m an endocrinologist treating patients with thyroid cancer and thyroid nodules. At The Ohio State University, I serve as director of the Benign Thyroid Disorders Program in the Division of Endocrinology, where I am also a professor. My research interests include management of iodine-refractory thyroid cancer and salivary damage after radioiodine therapy. Additionally, I’m proficient in speaking medical Spanish. I was named to the Castle Connolly list of “Regional Top Doctors” from 2015-2019, as well as being rated in the top 10 percent of physicians in the nation for patient satisfaction in 2017.
I’m involved in several research projects and clinical trials, serving as principal investigator on three studies. I’ve been published in a variety of peer-reviewed medical journals and have presented my findings and lectured all over the United States and internationally in India, Brazil, Argentina, Canada, Italy, France and Puerto Rico.
I feel privileged to be part of The Ohio State University and I’m especially proud to contribute to the work we do here at the OSUCCC – James. By providing cutting-edge research and delivering superior, individualized care to each and every one of our patients, we aim to create a cancer-free world.
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the university requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their university responsibilities. As of 11/21/2019, Dr. Sipos has reported relationships with the companies or entities listed below. If you have questions about the relationships listed below, please ask the faculty member. If you have questions about how these relationships are monitored by The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, please contact our Compliance Office.
The overall patient satisfaction rating is an average of all patient responses to the five questions gathered from the Outpatient Oncology survey, developed by Press Ganey Associates for use in oncology clinics across the country. On behalf of The James, Press Ganey administers the survey to patients who see our providers in an outpatient clinic office. For additional information about the patient satisfaction survey, please visit our Patient Satisfaction Survey page
