I am an advanced practice registered nurse-certified nurse practitioner specializing in treating gastrointestinal and thoracic cancer patients in the Department of Radiation Oncology at the OSUCCC – James. I was the first provider in my department to obtain APP clinical advancement and am a progress-focused advanced practice provider. I bring a positive attitude to patient care as much as possible. Cancer treatment is difficult, and I encourage people to keep looking forward. My patients can rely on me for support. I enjoy learning as much from my patients as they learn from me, and their resiliency is inspiring. We treat patients with a multidisciplinary approach here at The James and I am proud to be part of such an exceptional team. Our providers are highly specialized in their respective fields, and they are always willing to collaborate with each other to offer the best possible care to our patients. In addition, I think actions speak louder than words and I always strive to be a role model for those around me. My responsibilities include contributing to innovative research projects focused on treatments for colorectal cancer. I am a committee member for the Advanced Practice Provider Clinical Advancement Program, and I serve as a mentor and preceptor to APP students and fellows. I am proud to have received a Staff Professional Development Fund Award in 2024. I am also involved with several professional organizations including the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and the Oncology Nursing Society. In my free time, I enjoy volunteering at the Columbus Free Clinic.
