Make an Appointment
I’m a radiation oncologist focused on direct patient care, which includes radiation therapy treatment planning and multi-modality cancer care. Before coming to Ohio State, I studied at SUNY Downstate College of Medicine and worked in Internal Medicine at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City. My clinical research focuses on breast and GI malignancies, and, most recently, I was published in Anticancer Research.
What delights me about the OSUCCC – James is the emphasis on communication between patients, doctors and researchers. At The James, we know that there is no routine cancer, and targeted treatment depends upon collaboration between doctors and patients to create better outcomes and better quality of life. We assure our patients that we are working toward a cancer-free world, a world that starts with the success of their personal treatment plan.
In addition to my work and research, I serve as an Assistant Professor in Radiation Oncology at Ohio State and also see patients at the Stefanie Spielman Comprehensive Breast Center in Columbus.

Consulting and Related Relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the university requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their university responsibilities. As of 3/28/2017, Dr. Young has reported no financial relationships with medical device, research and/or drug companies.
