As a medical oncologist I specialize in treating patients with advanced prostate and colorectal cancers, including soft tissue sarcoma. Additionally, I serve as an assistant professor of internal medicine, an assistant professor in the department of pharmacology and a member of the Experimental Therapeutics Program at the OSUCCC – James.
I am a research specialist in genomics and tumor DNA sequencing, working on identifying specific cancer therapies that target molecules involved in the progression of cancer. Our multi-disciplinary team evaluates and cares for patients through clinical trials, matches patients to new smart drugs and studies how the drugs impact the cancer.
Proud to be a Buckeye, I earned my undergraduate degree in molecular genetics at Ohio State, and also received my medical degree and a doctorate in immunology here. Since 2012, I have been developing clinical trials focused on genomic alterations.
I’m very proud of the work we do here at OSUCCC – James. It’s an extremely collaborative environment that allows us to develop innovative clinical trials based on the research we do, with the ultimate goal of helping patients enjoy a longer life.
