About Me
More info forI am a radiation oncologist who specializes in treating patients with breast cancer as well as brain, spine and skull base cancers. My research interests include improving treatment outcomes for patients with breast cancer that has metastasized to the brain. I attended The Ohio State University College of Medicine for residency and was recognized as a Leonard B. Holman Research Pathway Fellow by the American Board of Radiology. I joined the faculty at Ohio State in 2019. I have served as a member of the NRG Oncology Breast Cancer Committee and the NRG Oncology Brain Tumor General Committee. I am an investigator for several clinical trials that combine targeted systemic therapies with radiation to improve outcomes for patients. I have authored or co-authored numerous publications in such prestigious scientific journals as Current Breast Cancer Reports, Oncotarget, Journal of Neuro Oncology and International Journal of Radiation Oncology, Biology and Physics.

Dr. Beyer was very informative. She explained my options in detail. I'm looking forward to working with her on eliminating my brain leisons through radiation.
She did an excellent job of going over my cancer as a whole, not just from a radiology standpoint. Radiation will be months away after chemo and surgery, but in her consult she made a nice summary of my situation, showed me MRI images to explain specifics that I had questions on, and was very detailed with responses.
I was clearly upset and Dr beyer took the time to stop the appt to address my concerns.
Providers explained very technical and complex factors in a clear, concise and understandable manor.
I feel like there was a rush due to waiting over 3 hours to meet with her and no Indication there was a long wait. She had to excuse herself twice after she introduced herself to look at Images and therefore I felt like I wasn't important that point. I appreciated her opinions, but feel like maybe other options could be discussed if there was more time.
