As a psychologist, I specialize in psychosocial oncology and palliative medicine. I’m passionate about helping those affected by cancer and other life-altering illnesses. I provide research-based treatments and on-going mental health support to my patients while training others to do so as well. It’s very rewarding to work with patients and their families to ensure they and their loved ones are able to focus on what is most important to them despite health symptoms and concerns.
I believe in providing my patients with a comprehensive family approach to care. Advanced or terminal illnesses can affect all areas of life including personal relationships, work, parenting, emotional and spiritual well being and mental functioning. My goal in providing personalized care is to understand and address the most stressful aspects of the illness for the patient and their family so they may live more consistent with their goals and values.
Here at Ohio State I’m able to collaborate with providers from other fields. This has helped me to integrate psychosocial oncology as a medical specialty. The combination of clinical practice, research and education constantly improves our health care system and the care that we provide to our patients.
In my free time I enjoy exploring local and national parks, reading, art, cooking and writing.

Consulting and Related Relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the university requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their university responsibilities. As of 3/28/2017, Dr. Wells-Di Gregorio has reported no financial relationships with medical device, research and/or drug companies.
