More info forI bring an engineering perspective as a member of the Leukemia and Hematologic Malignancies Program at the OSUCCC – James, where I seek to use engineering approaches with nanotechnology and biophysics experimental tools to characterize and model physical properties and behaviors of complex biological systems.
My goals are to create an array of functional DNA nanotechnology-based tools for measurement, manipulation and delivery applications in biological systems. Results from one of my recent studies indicated that DNA origami nanostructures can circumvent efflux-pump-mediated drug resistance in leukemia cells at clinically relevant drug concentrations.
I have co-authored numerous articles appearing in well-respected journals such as ACS Nano, Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences and Advanced Materials.
