About Me
More info forAs a behavioral epidemiologist in the Cancer Control Program at the OSUCCC – James, I’m interested in cancer prevention through the use of policy, systems and environmental change strategies to reduce or prevent tobacco use.
My research centers around how the relationships between people and their environments can be used to find strategies to reduce tobacco use or promote quitting among youth and vulnerable adult populations. I have employed biobehavioral methods, including eye tracking technology, to better understand the optimal messages to support prevention or cessation.
My work spans the diversity of tobacco products, from cigarettes and smokeless tobacco to cigarillos, e-cigarettes and waterpipe tobacco. Findings from my research have been published in a variety of peer-reviewed journals, including Tobacco Control and Nicotine Tobacco Research.
