  • About Me

My research program uses epidemiological and biological methodology to investigate means and mechanisms for gastrointestinal cancer precision prevention.??

I am an assistant professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at The Ohio State University and a member of the Cancer Control Program at the OSUCCC-James. My research focuses on precision prevention and early detection of gastrointestinal cancers using translational research methods.

My team and I aim to develop better, more sensitive strategies for detecting cancer in earlier stages, including using liquid biopsy or multi-biospecimen methods. In addition, I am interested in the utility of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs like aspirin, and other chemopreventive agents, for prevention and uncovering their underlying molecular mechanisms. I am also interested in exploring how these drugs can be better utilized to prevent cancer in specific populations, such as patients with Lynch syndrome.

I have authored or co-authored dozens of manuscripts that have been published in well-respected scientific journals, including JNCI Cancer Spectrum, American Journal of Epidemiology and JAMA Network Open.??
