  • About Me

I am a radiation oncologist who specializes in treating patients with gastrointestinal cancers, including esophageal cancer, pancreatic cancer, colorectal cancer and liver cancer. I enjoy working with patients and their families to explain and review their treatment options, guiding them through treatment and providing continued care afterwards. I work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including surgeons, medical oncologists, nurses, social workers, dietitians and more, to ensure that each patient is getting a personalized treatment plan that provides the best care possible. As a member of the Translational Therapeutics Program at the OSUCCC – James, my research focuses on understanding the mechanisms of radiation resistance in gastrointestinal malignancies, with a particular interest in the role of cellular heterogeneity and pancreatic cancer. My ultimate aim is to develop an understanding of essential processes in cancer biology to develop novel treatment strategies. I also serve as an assistant professor in the Department of Radiation Oncology at The Ohio State University, and I’m an accomplished author with over 30 peer-reviewed articles in publications such as Cell, Nature Medicine, Science Translational Medicine, Cancer Cell, Journal of the National Cancer Institute, and Clinical Cancer Research. What I love most about The James is the collaborative environment, the patient-centered treatment approach and the incredible resources, including access to cutting-edge technology and both institutional and national clinical trials to ensure that our patients receive the most state-of-the-art care.

On behalf of The James, Press Ganey administers the survey to patients who see our providers in an outpatient clinic office.
