Li-Chun Tu, MS, PhD, BS
Academic Title: Assistant Professor in the College of Medicine
Research Program: Molecular Carcinogenesis and Chemoprevention
About Me
More info forAs a member of Molecular Carcinogenesis and Chemoprevention Program at the OSUCCC – James, my research seeks to understand the origin and underlying physical principles of human genome organization and dynamics in the cell nucleus and to solve genetic alterations that lead to cancer.
I received the National Institutes of Health Pathway to Independence Award in which my team is working to decipher real-time dynamics of genome organization in response to DNA damage and gene expression.
My work has been published in the Journal of Cell Biology, Nature Methods, Nature Biotechnology, and several other well-respected science journals. As an assistant professor in the Department of Biological Chemistry and Pharmacology, I am also active in teaching, advising, and mentoring.
