Our Research Team
The team of research experts in the OSUCCC – James Eisfeld Lab is led by world-renowned cancer researcher and Principal Investigator Ann-Kathrin Eisfeld, MD.
Dr. Eisfeld is an assistant professor in the Division of Hematology at The Ohio State University and a member of the Leukemia and Hematologic Malignancies Program at the OSUCCC – James. She was trained in translational research with a focus on prognostically significant molecular markers in AML as well as and in basic molecular biology and cancer genetics.
Dr. Eisfeld has authored and co-authored articles in numerous scientific journals, including Cancer Discovery, Science Signaling, Cancer Research, Leukemia, Blood, Journal of Clinical Oncology and PNAS.

The Eisfeld Lab team of nationally and internationally recognized research specialists work with leading-edge collaborators across not only The Ohio State University but also around the globe, all of whom share the same vision and bring the best talent together to achieve much-needed scientific progress.
In collaborations, the team looks for symbiotic relationships that allow for each collaborator to utilize his or her area of expertise to maximize the potential of the research project and to promote quicker and better advancements in science.
The Eisfeld Lab researchers strives to hire and collaborate with individuals who have a sense of curiosity, an ability to work as part of a cohesive team and a desire to use science-based work to improve the lives of patients with cancer.
