Place an Order in eRAMP

The Genomics Shared Resource (GSR) offers instrumentation and expertise for DNA and RNA analysis including Sanger sequencing, genotyping, real-time PCR, Affymetrix™ GeneChips™, nCounter® Analysis System, spatial transcriptomics, next-generation sequencing (NGS) library generation, next-generation sequencing, nucleic acid extraction and also QC for RNA/DNA/proteins.

OSUCCC member and non-member investigators have unlimited access to training, consultation, troubleshooting and assistance in experimental design.

Key program objectives

The GSR has the following Specific Aims:

  • Aim 1: Generate a broad range of custom and established next-generation sequencing (NGS) library generation types, as well as traditional Sanger sequencing and cell-line verification.
  • Aim 2: Offer innovative technology, such as single-cell sequencing and spatial transcriptomics. DNA and RNA isolation from tissues, cells, FFPE samples and extra-cellular vesicles are supported.
  • Aim 3: Provide a variety of quantitative gene expression technologies and copy number analysis technologies including NanoString counter (nCounter®), traditional Affymetrix™ microarrays, digital droplet-PCR, and quantitative real-time PCR-based methods to detect, quantify, and confirm copy number variants, single nucleotide variants and small insertion/deletion polymorphisms.

GSR’s goals are to support high-quality cancer research with genomics expertise, equipment, and centralized resources to generate high-quality data in support of OSUCCC – James researchers.
