The Coughlin family's personal experience with cancer formed their commitment to raise public awareness about prevention and to raise dollars for cancer research. Reaching out through their Delaware, Ohio-based, family-run businesses of JEGS Mail Order and Team JEGS Racing, JEGS Foundation for Cancer Research promotes access to information, support for novel cancer research and an avenue to become involved to make a difference.
Cancer touches us all. Statistically, 1 in 4 persons will be diagnosed with some form of cancer in their lifetime. The OSUCCC – James has been chosen as one of two Ohio National Cancer Institute-designated facilities to receive the proceeds of the JEGS Foundation. The OSUCCC – James is honored to be affiliated with the Coughlin family.
The Coughlin family formed the JEGS Foundation to raise funds for cancer research. Their experiences with cancer drove them to assist in building awareness of the many facets of cancer and help generate dollars through race earnings to advance cancer research — thus the motto Racing for Cancer Research.
The JEGS Foundation Award of Excellence
The JEGS Foundation Award of Excellence recognizes, annually, a member of The Ohio State University community whose work exemplifies the vision of both the OSUCCC – James and the JEGS Foundation in creating a cancer-free world.
