The Patient Education Department provides access to easy-to-understand health information to help patients to actively participate in their care, and to achieve a level of understanding and sense of control over their cancer. The patient education resources provided to patients:
- Comply with health literacy, readability and Joint Commission standards
- Reflect evidenced-based practice
- Meet the communication and cultural needs of patients
- Adhere to the organizational policies for patient education resources
The Patient Education Library has an extensive inventory of resources, with many handouts available in multiple languages. In addition to individual handouts, we develop educational videos and books specific to a diagnosis, treatment or procedure. A playlist of our videos is below. To view the video topics, click on the menu button found in the top upper right corner of the video. You can watch all of the videos in the library or select an individual video that is right for you.

National Comprehensive Cancer Network® (NCCN®) Cancer Treatment Guidelines for Patients
The NCCN® has developed resources to improve the quality of cancer care and has created the NCCN Guidelines for Patients® which present expert recommendations in plain language to help people discuss options with their cancer care team. The recommendations in the NCCN Guidelines for Patients come from the NCCN Clinical Practice Guidelines in Oncology (NCCN Guidelines®). The NCCN Guidelines® are frequently updated by multidisciplinary panels of clinicians, researchers, and advocates. They are used by health care providers worldwide.
