Hope’s is located on the first floor of the Stefanie Spielman Comprehensive Breast Center, the ground floor of The James and an online shop.
The Stefanie Spielman Comprehensive Breast Center is the first of its kind in the Midwest to offer the full continuum of breast cancer care, from prevention and screening through detection, diagnosis, treatment and survivorship, in one location. The center is home to some of the nation’s leading breast cancer researchers and physicians, all singularly focused on preventing, detecting, treating and curing breast cancer. In this unique environment, our multi-disciplinary team of experts designs comprehensive treatment plans that are tailored to each patient’s type of breast cancer. The close proximity to Ohio State enables our breast cancer researchers and clinicians to work directly together, bringing the latest innovations in prevention, detection and treatment to every patient.

The certified, professional fitters at Hope’s are trained to listen and respond to your individual needs. Our goal is to create an informed, self-confident woman.

Hope’s Boutique is staffed with understanding, caring and experienced professionals who have the fitting skills and fashion expertise to help you look and feel your best. Whether it’s something as personal as finding the most flattering breast prosthesis, or as simple as helping you pick out the perfect pair of earrings for an upcoming event, we are here to provide guidance and support. We take the guesswork out of some of the more difficult processes, such as choosing a wig that’s right for you. We have the largest on-site wig inventory in central Ohio, which means you could walk out with a product that day (ordering a custom wig in your style and color could take up to five business days). At Hope’s, our goal is to help you feel confident again.

A Survivor’s Vision Brought to Life
Hope’s Boutique was founded by Wendy Avner in 1998. Wendy was diagnosed with breast cancer in November 1994 and ovarian cancer in September 1995. She underwent chemotherapy treatments on two separate occasions, losing her hair each time. During her treatment process, she was frustrated with the lack of fashionable resources available to women diagnosed with cancer. This prompted her vision of a place where women undergoing cancer treatment could unwind and feel good about themselves. Her vision became a reality with Hope’s Boutique—a one-stop shopping concept with trained professionals who can help women maintain their personal appearance during critical times. Hope’s provides an intimate, comfortable atmosphere where women can select important products related to their cancer treatment, as well as for their personal needs. A wonderful variety of products are available to choose from.

Memorial Health and Hope’s Boutique focus on patient-centered cancer care
Memorial Health and Hope’s Boutique are collaborating to provide a range of products and services designed to restore the self-confidence of cancer survivors, helping them look and feel their best.
Hope’s Boutique services are located at Journeys, a cancer patient-focused gift shop within the Memorial Hospital Cancer Center. Patients may be seen on the first Thursday of every month, by appointment only, during Journeys’ business hours of 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Patient appointments for personal services and fittings for mastectomy bras and protheses are required by calling (614) 293-9393. Medicare, Medicaid and most insurance plans are accepted for bras and protheses, but we encourage coverage confirmation.
