We understand that a serious medical diagnosis often evokes a range of feelings and raises questions about meaning, purpose and faith. The James provides specially trained chaplains who are part of the health care team. Our chaplains understand the spiritual and emotional concerns that are unique to your cancer diagnosis and are available to help meet the needs of patients, family members and staff of all faiths, as well as those who are spiritual but not religious. Chaplains are available throughout The James, both in the hospital and in ambulatory clinics.
Our Chaplains Offer:
- A listening ear
- Compassionate emotional support
- Spiritual care for all faith traditions
- Prayer and other religious rituals
- Spiritual conversation
