The 2018 Columbus Mac & Cheese Festival will return on Friday, Oct. 5, 2018 to Easton Town Center.
We are proud to announce that more than $140,000 has been raised through the Mac & Cheese Festival to date. These funds will directly support adolescent and young adult (AYA) cancer research and programming at The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center – Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital and Richard J. Solove Research Institute (OSUCCC – James).
As upwards of 46% of survivors of adolescent and young adult cancer express concerns about fertility as a result of cancer treatment, the inability to raise a biological family becomes an important quality of life indicator in survivorship.
Funds generated from the Mac and Cheese Festival will directly support the Fertility Preservation and Reproductive Health (FPRH) program at OSUCCC – James. This program works to to address barriers to care and improve the fertility and reproductive health of patients receiving cancer treatments that affect future fertility. Additionally, funds from the event will support a new National Oncofertility Conference, to be held May 18, 2019, which will bring physicians and staff from across the country together to share treatment and research updates.
